  BBC World Service "Great Reporters" (no. 8: Ed Murrow) radio program 1970-11-24

In this radio broadcast, Barry Carman discusses Murrow's life and career, particularly his World War II reporting in Europe. The program features excerpts from several of Murrow's reports from Europe, including the following: 1940 reports from London during the Blitz; 1938 report from Vienna during the Anschluss; 1944 report from an aircraft during the Battle of Arnhem; a report with G.I.s in Germany; April 15, 1945 report from Buchenwald concentration camp; report on Winston Churchill becoming British Prime Minister; and his farewell broadcast to England upon returning to the U.S. The program also includes descriptions of Murrow by Anthony Wiggins.
